Magnetic field induced delocalization in hybrid electron-nuclear spin ensembles

چکیده
We use field-cycling-assisted dynamic nuclear polarization and continuous radio-frequency (RF) driving over a broad spectral range to demonstrate magnetic-field-dependent activation of spin transport from strongly hyperfine-coupled $^{13}\mathrm{C}$ sites in diamond. interpret our observations with the help theoretical framework where interactions are mediated by electron spins. In particular, we build on results four-spin toy model show how otherwise localized spins must thermalize as they brought contact larger ancilla network. Further, probing system response variable field amplitude, witness stark changes RF-absorption spectrum, which partly due contributions heterogeneous multispin sets, whose zero-quantum transitions become RF active thanks hybrid electron-nuclear nature system. These findings could prove relevant applications polarization, spin-based quantum information processing, nanoscale sensing.

متن کاملElectric field induced nuclear spin resonance mediated by oscillating electron spin domains in GaAs-based semiconductors.
We demonstrate an alternative nuclear spin resonance using a radio frequency (rf) electric field [nuclear electric resonance (NER)] instead of a magnetic field. The NER is based on the electronic control of electron spins forming a domain structure. The rf electric field applied to a gate excites spatial oscillations of the domain walls and thus temporal oscillations of the hyperfine field to n...
متن کاملSpin Lifetime in Small Electron Spin Ensembles Measured by Magnetic Resonance Force Microscopy
Magnetic Resonance Force Microscopy can enable nanoscale imaging of spin lifetime. We report temperature dependent measurements of the spin correlation time τm of the statistical fluctuations of the spin polarization—the spin noise—of ensembles containing ∼ 100 electron spins by this technique. Magneto-mechanical relaxation due to spin-cantilever coupling was controlled and spurious mechanisms ...
متن کاملSpin textures in strongly coupled electron spin and magnetic or nuclear spin systems in quantum dots.
Controlling electron spins strongly coupled to magnetic and nuclear spins in solid state systems is an important challenge in the field of spintronics and quantum computation. We show here that electron droplets with no net spin in semiconductor quantum dots strongly coupled with magnetic ion or nuclear spin systems break down at low temperature and form a nontrivial antiferromagnetic spatially...
متن کاملMagnetic field. effect on the hyperfine-induced electron spin motion in radicals undergoing diamagnetic-paramagnetic exchange
A semiclassical description of the hyperfine-induced spin motion of radical pairs suggested recently [K. Schulten and P. G. Wolynes, J. Chem. Phys. 68, 3292 (1978)] has been generalized to arbitrary magnetic field situations. Analytical expressions for the elements of the electron spin correlation tensor < S(o) S (t) > averaged over all nuclear spin configurations are derived and applied to cal...
